Here's a few of the things we've been up to in the last week!
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to deliver leaflets. We started distribution of these at the weekend. The plan is to cover all of Harden, Wilsden and Cullingworth - we are still in need of a few more volunteers to cover parts of Wilsden and Cullingworth, so if you are able to help deliver the leaflets over the next couple of weeks please email contact@goitstock.org.uk. Thank you!
We welcome our first sponsor on our business sponsorship scheme, Not Just Travel-Anne Monaghan. Anne is a local personal travel specialist based in Wilsden. Thanks for supporting us, Anne!
If your business would like to join Anne and sponsor us, please see the website.
On Wednesday, Tom did a brief interview with BBC Radio Leeds for their Hidden West Yorkshire feature. You can listen to it here.
Also on Wednesday, Tom met a photographer from the Yorkshire Post in the wood, to take photos for an upcoming article about Assets of Community Value and the process of community purchases. The photographer finished the session with a very brief and un-prepared-for video session - you can see the video here. Yes, for some reason quite a lot of the photoshoot was spent standing on a rock and looking into the middle distance!
The article will follow in the paper in a couple of weeks time.
Our sponsor a square scheme now live. Pick a 3x3m what3words square to support and receive a certificate and social media sharing graphic, as well as appearing on our list of sponsors. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored a square so far. Join them and sponsor a square
We now have a Facebook Page (as well as the Group), and we're on Instagram and LinkedIn. Please follow us, like, share and comment on our posts to help drive engagement and get them seen by more people. (We're not on TikTok yet, but if anyone wants to make that happen, feel free to get in touch...!)
That's all for now. Don't forget if you have any questions about our project, you can find a lot of common answers on our FAQ section on the website - but if your question isn't answered, please feel free to email us! contact@goitstock.org.uk
Thank you for your support!
